ONE IN ONE HUNDRED MILLION

"Someone once told me not to bite off more than I could chew. I said I would rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity" - Unknown

"I would rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity". I have always been an avid collector of quotes. I enjoy reading and quotes are just a natural by-product of it. This is one of my favorite quotes. One of the formative quotes that have shaped my life and driven my mentality. This quote is so profound in the obvious that you may overlook it.

"Someone once told me". Four pregnant words. What has someone told you? Who is that someone? Should you be listening to them? Lesson one; who are you listening to? Motivational speaker Jim Rohn famously said that "we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with". Who are the people in your circle? Is it time to change circles?

"Not to bite off more than you can chew". How can you take a bite that is more than you can chew? Whatever you are biting, had to fit into your mouth. If it fits into your mouth you can chew it, one bit at a time. There is an African adage that says, how do you eat an elephant, one bite at a time. Whatever is your elephant, you can eat it. That goal, that dream, that idea may seem too big to chew, but break it down into smaller portions, chew on it a bite at a time. Strategize your goal, step by step, and execute each step. Keep working. Keep pursuing, keep accomplishing. You will consume the entire elephant.

I would rather choke on greatness, than nibble on mediocrity. I would rather die in the pursuit of my dream, become overwhelmed, choking on the sheer magnitude of it all, than sit at the table of low expectation, nibbling on complacency. The Comfort zone is a graveyard, it is the place where dreams, goals, and aspirations die. Don't die hungry, nibbling on the "woulda", "coulda", "shuddas". Choke on aspirations. Expire executing. Die fulfilling your purpose.

You must execute everything that has been holding you back, whether that is "someone", something or someplace. Murder Mediocrity! Assassinate indifference.

To be born, you had to beat the odds. You had to defy adversity and survive. On average, each time a man ejaculates, he releases 100 million sperm cells. You fought 99,999,99 other cells to reach and fertilize your mother's egg. You were the one that survived. Your birth already proved that you are a fighter, an overcomer, a survivor. Don't stop fighting now. Choke on greatness and live life limitlessly
